I’m Anna Lorena Schaeben – a German-Italian artist and researcher. My field of research lies in contemporary hispanic literature, while painting is at the core of my artistic practice.

Based in Cologne, I’m currently a PhD candidate and research fellow at the DFG-funded Research Training Group 2661. My perspective is deeply shaped by international experiences living in Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and Colombia, weaving transdisciplinary thinking into both my academic work and visual art.
